About

Knowing, Loving, and Serving for Over 30 Years. . .

“We cannot care for all the seniors of the world, but we can show the world how to care for all seniors.”

Catholic Care Center is a not-for-profit Catholic healthcare ministry located at 45th Street North and Woodlawn.

Catholic Care Center was the vision of the late Bishop Emeritus Eugene Gerber who said, “We cannot care for all the seniors of the world, but we can show the world how to care for all seniors.” Bishop Gerber was a visionary who knew that our community was on the threshold of a new day where generations of seniors and retired clergy would be in need of a place to call home in their later years. Not only did he envision a home for them, he saw a true community where they could learn, live, grow, celebrate their faith, and share their gifts and talents.

We owe the beautiful ministry of Catholic Care Center to his legacy and to the legacy of all the outstanding leaders who have worked tirelessly to carry out his vision. As we look toward our next 30 years, we remember those who helped create this community and look confidently toward the future. Today’s leaders will continue to know, love, and serve all who join our campus family.

Why Choose Catholic Care Center?

We understand the need to provide the appropriate care for your aging loved ones. We also know how difficult it can be to entrust this responsibility to someone outside of your family and sphere of friends. This is why we’ve developed our services with compassion and faith, not through a corporate handbook.

Our experienced staff takes a personalized approach to each new member of our community. This allows us to get to know each resident at length, giving us a better understanding of what they need physically, mentally, spiritually, and emotionally. Expect our staff to treat your loved one like their own family.

At the Catholic Care Center, we have the ability to assist your family members with whatever level of home health and medical care they need. From our independent living homes to skilled nursing care and assisted living to memory care, you can rely on us to provide superb service and personalized care for your loved ones.
